On January 20th, 2001, at the West Front of the United States Capitol Building in Washington, D.C., George W. bush was sworn in as 43rd president of the United States. This was the 54^th presidential inauguration and marked the first term as George W. Bush as president and Dick Cheney as vice president. An estimated 300,000 people attended the swearing-in ceremony.

The second inauguration of George W. Bush as 43rd president took place on January 20th, 2005 at the West Front of the United States Capitol Building in Washington D.C. This was the 55th presidential inauguration and marked the second term as George W. Bush as president and Dick Cheney as vice president. His second inaugural address focused around "Freedom & Liberty" as well as human rights as the guiding principle of US foreign policy.
