Born 1810- Died 1849, Chopin was unhealthy most of his life, but composed some of the world's most famous concertos, ballads, and preludes. By age 25 Chopin was known all over Europe for his talent as a piano performer and composer. Born in Poland, but living in France for most of his professional years, Chopin was prolific composer with profound impact in Western Europe's explosion of musical interest in the early 1800's. Chopin died of tuberculosis after years of ailing health, which influenced many of his compositions, having returned to Poland only shortly before his death.
This well-balanced bust is a welcomed addition to any library, music studio, or office.
