Description   Established in 1922 as the White House Police Force, this organization was fully integrated into the Secret Service in 1930. With more than 1,300 officers today, the Uniformed Division is responsible for security at the White House Complex; the vice president's residence; the Department of the Treasury (as part of the White House Complex); and foreign diplomatic missions in the Washington, D.C., area. Blair House, since 1826, is the official state guest house for the President of the United States. The Blair House ornament depicts the year 1950 at Christmastime when President Harry S. Truman resided at Blair House and features a White House Police Officer standing guard. The Blair House ornament also honors the ultimate sacrifice of Officer Leslie William Coffelt who was an officer of the White House Police Force. Features The 2012 White House Ornament Commemorates the Sacrifices of United States Secret Service, Marine One HMX-1, and Features Marine One and the United States Secret Service Star Badge in Outline.
